this is the REVERSE model so you install it backwards!!

this model is 114.5mm with a total weight of 997 grams making it the largest and lightest of all the variotops for MBK

the reverse version means you can get the heavier part of the variator closer to the bearings taking a little bit of stress off the crank and reducing vibrations.

highest quality variator from malossi - variotop is their top of the line offering

includes everything you need to get started

extra weight sets available separately

the variotop is available with or without the clutch function for peugeot (not the case with MBK)

You'll want this version for your 50v frames to line up the variator and pulley correctly. Larger diameter means longer range! Much better quality than the er3 variators.

The only reason why you see some reversed variators on french race mopeds it's because depending on the frame they were using the standard variators wouldn't align perfectly with the rear pulley so they had to reverse them.
I guess Bidalot and malossi started to build reversed variators to fit certain moped frames, especially in the Gr2 and Gr3 race class with custom frames and parallelograms.
