I swear I didn't ooga booga it, didn't molest it with circlip pliers or anything, just slipped it over the Airsal crank on my AV7 to lock the variator in, but when I went to try spinning it by hand, after a couple rotations it just popped off. So I tested it again to make sure I'm not crazy, I heard the circlip click in both times, I was able to tug on it many times without it coming off, was able to spin it for longer this time too, but ultimately it just slipped off again. I then compared this circlip to the original circlip and the original one is every so slightly meatier which likely makes the difference. Anyway, be careful, make sure your variators don't fly off.

Ugh, what do you when your stock on goes flying across the garage during disassembly never to be found again.
