I've installed a good number of tires and tubes. I've got some nice spoons for the job and usually don't have problems. These tubes are a gamble. I just installed one- it punctured from the tiniest of pinches. So I removed it and patched it. I checked it before reinstalling and noted the valve was fussy. I reinstalled it and messed with it for about an hour to get the valve to finally open and take pressure then about 5 minutes later the valve started to leak. Hell.

I don't know what all the fuss is about, I had no problems with this tube while installing it on my wheelz. Quality seems good enough to withstand the curb hopping required, Me likey!

I've been a bicycle mechanic for years, and everytime I've replaced my tubes and tires on my peds, treats has been out of the cheaper tubes, so I've never had problems with the more expensive ones.

However, I helped a friend replace his tires and tubes on his maxi, and all went well. The tires were on, pumped up and everything. Once they were mounted on the bike, the valve on the front tube just decided to break. We were about 15 feet away from the bike and we just hear a little pssssssss...and sure enough the tube was leaking straight out of the valve...no installation error, just crappy valves. rear one is holding up still....hopefully it'll last
