its almost impossible to get a tap for this for under 20 dollars its an m6 x .8mm they dont really have any in the united states

the tap size you will need is m6 x .75 pitch. you can get them off ebay for 7 bucks shipped. i also suggest taking the spring off your old brake lever and putting it on the new one.

FYI the socket for the brake light switch does not come tapped. The threads on my switches look like maybe 7mm x 0.80mm... the smallest 7mm tap I have is 1.00 and they're finer than that.
In short, know your brake light switch and make sure you have a tap for it before you get this.
