I got the this for my puch vdo speedo and it went out just now riding back from work. The light was awesome while it worked, could see everything I needed to see, I think if I put in a voltage regulator will make the next one last just a little longer than one day.

5 of 5 Replacement for Vespa Si January 17, 2013
taco eater : Anonymous Person from Rochester, MI United States
This bulb will fit Vespa Si but it must be modified first. If you look at the bulb pic, you'll see a collar and a solder ball that must be ground down in order to fit into the speedo opening. You can grind the bulb, and possibly remove the speedo and bore the hole slightly larger.  I chose to grind the collar and solder ball. Keep in mind, this is no fault of Treats, it's the fault of the speedo maker for having such a tight tolerance and the new bulb maker. However for a 30 year old bulb replacement, this is the one. Not to mention this one is brighter because it's 1.2 watts, versas the original only being .5 watts.
If you do not understand what I mean by grinding the above, purchase this bulb and closely compare it to the original, then you'll see what I mean.

works perfectly in the puch vdo speedo. nice to be able to see my stock speed at night again, if only those cables weren't always in the way..

I bought this elsewhere, but BA7S is the base type you need for your Puch VDO Speedometer.
