!these gears will not work on a honda hobbit moped!

please note for some nu50 bikes the gears will have to be welded, check the reviews below for more info! on others they are simple press on though...so you won't know till you start the battle.

I was hesitant but Loss of low end is not so drastic on a kitted NU50. Pressed on nice and tight. Youre gonna want to make a new gearbox gasket. The thickness is critical to shiming of the gearbox. I used regular old 1/32 Karropak gasket paper. DR kit and vm20 mlm pipe and intake. 21 grams. Still does wheelies. Still revs super high. Not sure on top speed yet breaking in.

I haven't bought this yet but will it go on a 78 Honda express Nc50 with the sealed gearbox?

race gears are quick to do with lots of gain.

pipe wrench and large socket is all ya need to take off the countershaft gear. the race gear slips right on... no welding required. low end is lost but depends on other mods ya got.

pressed out the old gear, and pressed on the new one, fits correctly no welding required !  rips to 45-50 now, scary fast. dose cause a little loss of bottom end torque. make sure to re-tune variator to around 24 grams to regain acceleration.

just know some nu 50 counter shafts vary a few thoudanths. some can be pressed on and some like mine had to be welded. just keep the weld to a 1/4" in height on the smaller gear and youll be fine.. i changed vairiator weights and gears at the same time and got way more take off -low end.. go for it if your mechanical somewhat.. have someone good at welding do it.. mine was done with stainless rod and turned out awesome..good luck man...
