5 of 5 Super Simple September 5, 2017

I  installed one of these after the 20V output of the Le Partie CDI kit I installed on my MotoBecane Model 7 blew out the head and taillight in record time. Yellow wire goes to yellow lighting coil wire from the CDI stator plate and Black wire goes to a convenient ground (that should also be grounded to the engine/stator plate). Mounting hole in the middle doesn't have anything to do with the electrical connections and is just for mounting. After install, a  solid 12V at any RPM. Regulating just like a regulator should. These are mainly designed for snowmobile and dirt bike applications so they are pretty sturdy.

5 of 5 Just spend the extra $ and get this March 27, 2014

I messed with 2 of the cheaper regulators. They seemed to work for a while, then eventually would just start spitting out random voltage.

I ordered this bad boy, and my problems are no more. Just a steady 12 volts and nice bright lights that dont blow up.

It's a pretty thick little box, so I had some trouble finding a good spot to mount it on my Maxi (since I still use side covers). I ended up mounting it where the horn used to be and grounded it to the frame there.

5 of 5 good regulator July 27, 2013

These are good regulators, they're mostly used on snowmobiles and are one of the few generic AC regulators you can find. If you can't figure out how to wire it you're an idiot. It's an inch thick so you might need a longer screw then you're used to using to mount it.

5 of 5 Solved my problems! July 28, 2012

Does it's job just fine and has for a few hundred 9000rpm + miles. Steady outflow voltage while revving. Grounded through wire so if the ground goes bad the voltage regulator won't fry, just a bulb. Also wired in parallel so easy fa-heasy!
