The rubber got soft and cracked from exposure to fuel. It's on the carb, so it's going to get exposed to fuel...

Easily fits under magnum engine covers and does exactly what it is designed to do. As stated below; the glue tends to melt and the metal cap WILL fall off eventually just from the fuel blow back from the carb. The metal version is more solid.

mine fell apart after about 2-3 months of having it, the foam just ripped from top to bottom.
