Just like the duder below me..same issue with the screw holes being to small...maybe atomic wants you to use m4 (but those are way to tiny) other then that really awesome.

1 of 5 Works, but should be better quality. July 13, 2016

For $20 this should be CNC'd out of thicker metal with an actual round hole that is centered and have holes drilled that are actually large enough to fit the screws they include.
A must have mod if you plan on running white springs, but poorly made!

4 of 5 Get braced! April 3, 2014

Nicely made product! I countersunk the holes and used tapered head screws to keep from rubbing on the bell though. To take the top of the posts off I used a dremel cutoff wheel in my drill press and only adjusted the table height. That way both posts were almost guaranteed even. Worked like a charm.

This brace does exactly what you think (unless you have some chromosomal disorder and even then you should probably be able to figure it out). It does require you to modify your clutch base plate to keep the bolts from running along your clutch bell and shutting shit down. The posts must be ground down to give the brace and hardware enough room. I used a belt sander and a steady hand but you can hop in your buddy's el camino and hold it against the street while he does 70 down Main Street if that does it for you. You will want to take the circlips that hold the clutch arms on and throw them away because you are going to grind the pegs down to just above the bottom of the groove that the circlips used to live in before you razed their home. Combine this with lightened shoes and some kickstart springs and you won't be perpetually embarrassed when you take off from stoplights in a group ride.
