BACK FROM THE DEAD

puch 65cc !!nikasil!! bore cylinder kit new in box ready to be mounted on any puch moped including but not limited to : Puch Maxi, Magnum, Dart, Cobra, Swinger, Pinto, Freespirit, Newport, Kromag; E50 (one speed) or ZA50 (two speed) engines. Some two speeds may have a tiny metal nub in the case that needs to be filed down in order to make these kits fit. It's super easy. For superior performance skip the bing route and use a dellorto 19-21 phbg on these to make them beastlike. Intakes usually available for one speeds, OR save some cash and take an old exhaust header from a tomos or italian bike and chop it off and make it the perfect o intake. If using the dellorto intake we sell get the clamp style dellorto, for the exhaust header intake use a rubber mount style dellorto. dreamy. Using a 19-21 phbg brings these kits to life and increases power throughout the whole range, no loss at all. plus we all know bings suck and are fully overpriced, hmm. no more cast in studs thank you based god.

product description has not been changed to retain the vintage lingo circa 2007. enjoy

***UPDATE 7/23/18 these now come from metrakit with an improved piston!! the locating pins are correctly pressed into place. the overall quality seems to be on par with that of the airsal replacement and should be great for many miles of ripping. please double check the ring gap n have no more worries! be free!***

this kit no longer includes a gasket set!!!! grab one here or get an OEM quality gasket set here.

need a perfect head for this? look no further

4 of 5 Well Made Kit February 20, 2024

The quality of this kit is outstanding. Everything went together as it should. I am on my second heat cycle and it is already quieting down. I used both gaskets, blocked the decompression hole with 6 mm studs, lapped the cylinder and head to make a good seal, running it with a 14 Bing and stock like oversized exhaust. Daily ride.

Bought a 1978 Puch Maxi with this already added to it. Uses a Mikuni VM18 with a "BLACK BOSS" performance pipe. Attached to a E50. This combo lets me get about 40mph on a good day!

5 of 5 Awesome kit. August 19, 2020

Totally rips with the right setup. I hit 46mph on flat...
I'm 5'10 180..77 Puch maxi ; super stuffy crank, treats custom metrakit super street cylinder head,19mm dellorto clone carb, 86 main jet, w7 needle; Tecno boss pipe; three shoe clutch with eso springs turned 3 in from Flush. 18x45 gearing. Connecticut June 2020 weather.

Have a estoril sidebleed on it now (aug 2020), pulls harder all the way. Really woke this kit up compared to the boss. I use the endbleed with the smallest hole also.

Ran great in the 90's heat at the Detroit rally, Monday, a cool 70 degree evening, heard a sound, like the ring going, then lost power, going downhill.....Found ring broken, and piston and cylinder with deep craters at the exhaust port.....I am thinking of buying a different kit, next time.....

The ring bosses are drilled 180deg. off so there is nothing stopping them from falling out inside the piston and if you look close the nubs that hold the bosses in are 180deg off...other than that it is a great kit...

edit treats : maybe you got it somewhere else? the ones we are selling have the correct piston in them. If you did get it from us, just email and we will take care of you! EDIT: The new Metrakit pistons are actually correct and have the top dykes L ring like the "OG" kit came with...
