new HPI CDI mini rotor ignition for garelli noi!!

this version has an integrated 60W light coil for super bright lights!! great curve and comes with all you need to make the change.

uses a 27mm x 1mm left hand thread puller!!!!!

always use a resistor boot or resistor plug when running a cdi or you run the risk of burning up your cdi box!

the trail tech voltage regulator works the best with the mini rotor!

the stator may be black, red or gold, whichever color HPI sends out. its not something we can choose, so its not something you can choose either.

these now come with two leads along with the cdi harness off the stator. the yellow with with the ring terminal is grounded and the other yellow wire with a female spade connector goes to lights!

I just purchased one of these cdi kit for my 1979 garelli grand sport of course I ran into a few problems the flywheel dosent have a slot for the wooddruf key so flywheel spins know I have to add extra washers to tighten the flywheel in place, there's no timing Mark's on the flywheel.

This stator is bigger than the stock points stator. Had to  cut away the lip on the engine case for the new stator to seat correctly and not rub on flywheel. Definately not just bolt and go, at least not on my ssxl noi single speed. There's also no way to adjust the timing by just leaving the stator screws a little loose and rotating to adjust, then tightening after the flywheel is on as they say in the instructions because the edge of the flywheel is directly over the screw heads. In the end I finally got it shredding and yes quite an improvement, but alot of work.

Finally took the initiative to get my two speed running and decided to pop this on. easy bolt up, well made hardware, and simple to time. Bright lights and strong spark as well! If you have a reliable Garelli Definitely a good but expensive investment.
