I love this kingdom and staff here at Treatland. This kit will certainly make your rev like mad and run faster then hell but it is difficult to get right. Per the other reviewers, the instructions are sparse. Help from HPI is fast but limited to one sentence , never complete and half in English. I am still working on the lights to work evenly. The HPI group in general has a lot of bad press on issues with their kits. I am running the suggested trail tech regulator and you have to make your own harness to wire in the bike as the stock harness will not be used. The kit does not use a woodruff key, battery or the rectifier. It is for racing with a lighting coil add after the fact. Lights are bright but not at idle. Will adjust the voltage regulator. Still in really helps the bike with its power band.  Bike is alittle harder to start over stock ignition.

this thing with the red plate and chrome magneto on my murdered out black mb5 looks killer. to mount it onto my case though was a bear, instead of simply installing this with 5mm allen head bolts, i opted to use the original 8mm bolts that mounted the original cdi so it was off to the dremmel to open up the plate to fit my bolts! i installed on a Stuffy Race Crank nice and easy. and holy butt does this thing rev waaaay up, i have it paired with the Stuffy, 70 kit, boysen reeds, phbg 21 mm and the techno performance pipe and it is a rocket! i'll gladly race anyone from taco stand to taco stand. i recommend this to every mb5 owner, or just moped owner, this will be one of the fist things i put on every bike from now on.

Yeah it is a huge pain to install this thing but it is so worth it.  The stock flywheel is like 8 lbs and huge and this thing's flywheel is like 1 lb and its small.  My MB5 revs like so fast with this thing on, plus the curve lets it stay in the powerband.  I'm going to go up 1 tooth larger on the drive sprocket and get some more top end speed.  And wheelies in 1st are like no problem.
My only complaint is that the MB5 crankshaft is tapered with a key, and this kit's flywheel is made for a straight shaft.  But oh well, the bike is way faster.
