Update 7/8/2020: I misspoke about the curves in my original review. Disconnected = standard curve, connected = optional curve. I contacted Willy @ HPI for confirmation back in May 2017 after lots more back to back testing yielded better results with connected wires. Yeah, this update is a little delayed...no tacos for me. In short, the optional curve (wires connected) works better, especially for setups revving 10K+ since the standard curve starts retarding too soon in the rev range. It’s an annoying expense, hence the 4 stars, but it’s what you need (unless you’re completely at-ease with selling your crazy build short).
Original 10/9/2015: My bike runs noticeably better on the "optional" curve. Assuming it's like the inner-rotor dual box, plugging the two wires together gives you the standard curve and unplugging them unleashes the optional one.
Why 4 stars? It's what the standard curve should be from the get-go...kinda stings throwing another $85 at an already $300+ ignition.
